Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) [edit]

In 2006, the and then strange minister Alexander Downer and sometime President Clinton jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2006 that gave more than than A$25 million to the Clinton Foundation across 4 years for a project to provide screening and drug handling to AIDS patients in Asia. The donation was later made through an affiliate of the charity known equally the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI).[ citation needed ] The Australian government ceased funding CHAI in 2016.[111] In 2017 the Specialist Health Service (SHS) in a written report commissioned by DFAT noted "Previously, at that place appears to have been an over-reliance on the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) for facilitating market access".[112]

In 2011, a pledge of A$270 1000000 was made by Australian Julia Gillard government to the Global Partnership for Pedagogy[113] which in 2014 joined the Clinton Global Initiative.[114] Julia Gillard was fabricated a member of the board of Global Partnership for Education in 2014 after losing the Australian federal election[115] [116]

According to DFAT, Australia contributed A$340.viii million to the Global partnership for education between 2007 and 2014 [117] including A$90 meg in replenishment between 2018 and 2020[118]

A Department of foreign affairs and trade (DFAT) spokesperson[ who? ] responded to questions by News.com by stating: "all funding is used "solely for agreed development projects" and Clinton charities have "a proven runway record" in helping developing countries.[ citation needed ]

Ethics controversies and use of taxpayer funds [edit]

Co-ordinate to the hacked Podesta emails, Doug Band, an employee of the Clinton Foundation, accused Chelsea Clinton's husband Marc Mezvinsky of being involved in conflicts of interest. According to Band, Mezvinsky used the foundation to raise money for his hedge fund.[119] Band also said that he could proper name 500 different conflicts of involvement involving the foundation and some that involved Bill Clinton.[120]

Using the Former Presidents Act Beak Clinton used taxpayer funds to supplement the pay of aides at the Clinton foundation and as well used funds for Information technology equipment. Clinton withdrew xvi 1000000 dollars using the president act which was more than any other living president had withdrawn.[121]

Cash for access [edit]

In 2011 Raj Fernando who gave between 100,000 and 250,000 to the Clinton foundation was appointed to the International Security Advisory Board within the State Department despite being unqualified. Fernando's appointment came at the request of Clinton Aide Cheryl Mills and Hillary Clinton. Fernando resigned from the position soon later on an inquiry was made by ABC.[122]

In 2009 foundation aide Doug Band emailed Huma Abedin requesting a coming together with Hillary Clinton for Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa who had donated 32 million to the Clinton foundation.[123] [124] 2 days later the meeting was bundled.[125]
